Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of ReadyResume.ai (the "Service"), operated by ReadyResume.ai LLC, a Texas limited liability company ("ReadyResume", "we", "us", "our"). By using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, do not use the Service.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and a resident of the United States or Canada to use the Service. By creating an account, you represent that you meet these eligibility requirements. The Service is not intended for users under 18 or for users outside the United States and Canada.

You are responsible for providing accurate information when you create an account, and for keeping your login credentials confidential. You're responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.

2. What the Service does

ReadyResume helps job seekers create resumes, generate cover letters, evaluate how their resume scores against an Applicant Tracking System ("ATS"), and discover companies with a history of sponsoring work visas. The Service uses third-party artificial intelligence ("AI") to generate or analyze text based on your input.

3. Your account

You may create one account per person. You may not share, transfer, or sell your account. You agree to notify us immediately at legal@readyresume.ai if you suspect unauthorized access to your account.

We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms, use the Service in a way that creates legal or operational risk for us, or fail to pay applicable subscription fees.

4. Free and paid plans

We offer a free tier with limited features and paid subscription tiers ("Pro" and "Team") with expanded features. Current pricing and feature limits are displayed on the pricing page at readyresume.ai/pricing.

Paid subscriptions auto-renew at the end of each billing period unless you cancel. You can cancel at any time through your account settings or the customer portal. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period; you keep access to paid features until then.

We may offer a free trial. If you do not cancel before the trial ends, your account will convert to a paid subscription at the listed price and you will be charged.

All fees are non-refundable except where required by law, or at our sole discretion. Disputes regarding charges should be raised with us at legal@readyresume.ai within 30 days of the charge.

We may change pricing or features. For paid subscribers, we will give you at least 30 days' notice of any price increase that affects your existing subscription, and you may cancel before the new price takes effect.

5. Acceptable use

By using the Service, you agree NOT to:

Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable law or regulation;
Submit content that is false, misleading, fraudulent, defamatory, obscene, infringing, or otherwise harmful;
Submit another person's personal information without their permission, or impersonate another person;
Use the Service to generate resumes or cover letters for someone else without their consent and knowledge;
Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Service, other accounts, or our infrastructure;
Reverse-engineer, scrape, decompile, or otherwise attempt to extract source code or data beyond what is intended;
Use automated means (bots, crawlers, scripts) to access the Service in a way that disrupts or burdens it;
Resell, sublicense, or commercially redistribute the Service without our written permission;
Use the Service to train a competing AI model or build a competing service;
Interfere with or disrupt the Service or attempt to circumvent rate limits, paywalls, or other access controls.

6. Your content

You retain all rights to the resume content, cover letters, and other materials you create with the Service ("Your Content"). You grant ReadyResume a limited, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, process, and display Your Content solely as needed to operate and improve the Service for you.

You are solely responsible for the accuracy of Your Content. You represent that you have the rights and permissions necessary to submit it. If you include third-party content (such as quotes, certifications, references), you confirm you have the right to use it.

We do not use Your Content to train AI models, and our AI provider (Anthropic) is contractually prohibited from using your content for training.

7. AI-generated content

The Service uses AI to generate text based on your input. AI output may contain errors, inaccuracies, or content that does not reflect your actual experience. You are responsible for reviewing and verifying any AI-generated content before using it (including before submitting it to employers).

AI output is provided "as is." We make no representation that AI-generated content will lead to employment, interviews, or any specific outcome. Job markets, hiring decisions, and visa sponsorship outcomes depend on many factors beyond a resume.

Sponsor Match data is drawn from publicly available US government filings (such as H-1B and PERM filings) and other public sources. Inclusion of an employer in Sponsor Match results is not a guarantee that the employer is currently hiring, sponsoring, or willing to sponsor any specific candidate.

8. Intellectual property

All rights, title, and interest in and to the Service (including the software, design, content created by us, trademarks, and the "ReadyResume" name and logo) are owned by ReadyResume.ai LLC or our licensors. Except for the limited rights expressly granted in these Terms, no rights are transferred to you.

9. Third-party services

The Service relies on third-party providers including Anthropic (AI), Stripe (payments), Supabase (database), Vercel (hosting), and Resend (email). Your use of features that involve these providers may also be subject to their terms. We are not responsible for third-party services beyond our reasonable selection and oversight of them as our vendors.

10. Disclaimers

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, AND ANY WARRANTIES ARISING FROM A COURSE OF DEALING OR USAGE OF TRADE.

We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or that AI output will be accurate, complete, or fit for any specific purpose. The Service is not a substitute for legal, immigration, career, or financial advice.

11. Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, READYRESUME.AI LLC AND ITS OFFICERS, EMPLOYEES, AND AGENTS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, SPECIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, REVENUE, DATA, OR EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITIES, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE, EVEN IF WE HAVE BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.

OUR TOTAL CUMULATIVE LIABILITY ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO THESE TERMS OR THE SERVICE WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO LIABILITY, OR (B) $100 USD.

Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of certain damages, so some of the above may not apply to you.

12. Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless ReadyResume.ai LLC and its affiliates, officers, employees, and agents from any claim, liability, damage, or expense (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of (a) your violation of these Terms, (b) your misuse of the Service, (c) Your Content, or (d) your violation of any third-party right, including any intellectual-property or privacy right.

13. Termination

You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without notice, for any reason, including if we believe you have violated these Terms. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ends. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination (including ownership, disclaimers, limitations of liability, indemnification, and dispute resolution) will survive.

14. Governing law and dispute resolution

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles. The federal and state courts located in Texas have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service, and each party consents to the personal jurisdiction of those courts.

Before bringing a formal legal claim, you agree to attempt to resolve the dispute informally by contacting us at legal@readyresume.ai. We agree to do the same.

Class action waiver. You and ReadyResume agree to bring claims only in an individual capacity, not as a plaintiff or class member in any class, collective, or representative action.

15. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will post the updated Terms at this URL with a new effective date. For material changes, we will notify you by email or through the Service prior to the change taking effect. Your continued use of the Service after a change indicates your acceptance of the updated Terms.

16. Entire agreement

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and ReadyResume regarding the Service. If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.
